Graupner Cumulus 2000

Graupner Cumulus 2000 with Ailerons
"The Graupner Cumulus 97 deserves and gets my highest recommendation.
It is a rare bird - a no-compromise electric ARF, beautifully made, easy
to complete, reasonably priced, and flies wonderfully. I was not able to
detect any bad habits in flight, and the weight of the finished plane is
very suitable for the suggested drive train. The slip-on nose cone
permits quick, hassle-free battery changes at the field. The Graupner
Cumulus 97 is so easy to assemble and fly that it would make a good
first R/C plane. It would certainly make a great first electric plane if
you have some prior experience with a glider
After
almost six months of flying, the Cumulus remains one of my favorite
planes. It is just plane pleasant to fly. I plan to do a lot more flying
with the Graupner Cumulus 97, both as an electric and as a hi-start
launched glider.
Graupner has released a new version of the Cumulus, called the Cumulus
2000. It looks like the same plane, except that it has ailerons. You can
find a description of it on the Graupner web site. I have already asked
Hobby Lobby to put me at the top of the waiting list for it, and I
expect mine to arrive shortly."
