Hello, My name Is Fred. I am 54 years old and my son David is 20. We have been flying rc planes for the past 4 years. We have better than 30 planes in flying condition all of which are gas engined, from fun fly to large scale. There are about 10 guys in the club who fly strictly electric and are really into it. They have just about everything imaginable. Although I'm impressed with some of these electrics, I really didn't want to take the time to build   and research (motors,flight packs, speed controls, ect). Last Sunday at the clubs flying field one of my freinds Don (who ones his own Hobby Shop) brought a aerobird to the field. As soon as I seen it fly, I couldn't wait to get my own. The big payoff for me is I don't have to build and research (its all there, ready out of the box) and I can continue building the planes awaiting on the shelf and I don't always have the time to tavel 50 miles round trip to the field during the work week. I have a large open field just accross the street not large enough to fly gas.There are many evenings I would like to fly,but don't have ample time. Now I just walk across the street and I'm flying. I am really having a blast with the aerobird. Its a lot of fun to fly. Much to my amazement my wife said she would like to have one (She has never shown interest in rc flying before). Went to the Hobby Shop and purchased two more for my wife and son. Can't wait to get the high performance upgrade. Its on order.
